Mary is the mother of a six week
old baby, Katy. She works part time
in
the evenings. Her husband Bob will take care of Katy while she's
at
work. After the first night, Bob is frazzled. The baby never stops
crying, doesn't fall asleep until minutes before Mary's return.
The next
day, Mary purchases a Build-A-Bond. She wears it for several hours
that
day and leaves it with Bob for her next night's work. This night
goes
very smooth for both Bob and the baby. She was quiet and content,
Bob
was relaxed, and Mary felt much better about leaving home to work
at
night.
A soon-to-be adoptive mother
purchased two build-a-bonds for her new
adoptive baby.
The baby was to be in foster care for another three weeks before
coming home. The adoptive mother first wore the blankets, and then
gave them to the foster mother to use. This allowed the baby to
get used to the adoptive mother's scent before the baby's arrival
in her new home. This adoptive mother wanted me to contact adoptive
agencies so new adoptive parents are aware of this new, helpful
product.
A man called me and ordered two build-a-bonds
because he travels all the time and he and his wife are expecting
a new baby.
He wanted to wear the build-a-bonds during
the week to be left with the baby when he traveled. This way the
baby would get used to his scent, and when he returned from his
travels, the transition for bonding would be much easier.
